GET SINGAPORE PRODUCT REVIEWS:
Today, we have a really special item which is part one of the entire GET SINGAPORE series, which is a non-profit collective that showcases Singapore’s own retail brands and merchandise. One of the most interesting products coming from a Singapore Store is Apple Speakers, which is by a company named Little Big Sound. Which is retailing at Action City in Singapore (and some branches worldwide) for SGD S$29.90. 
Perhaps one of the most simplistic packaging design that I ever seen, its cube like box is only 9x9x9cm and realistically speaking, it makes a really good gift for your family and friends during this festive season. Frankly, the packaging is really attractive and there is not much to complain about.
Probably one of the main selling points is, with such value, it comes with a 1 year warranty which is really reasonable. However, consumers should be reminded to mail in their warranty card within 30 days of purchase to enjoy the included benefits. 
This might be one reason why the package did not break when it arrives, its tightly secured within the box and when you try to shake the box, its really hard to ‘free’ the speaker from within the deadly claws of the box. Probably one small downsize is the thin Styrofoam like cover, I just feel that its just too thin. Definitely that’s not a concern though.
Included in the package is a small keychain to attach your cube speaker to any other rugged bags or flashy wallets you have, a neat idea for a simple package.
For connectivity wise, the speaker include a non detachable 3.5mm audio headjack. One trade off for such a small product is the short cable length of the headset jack. On the sweeter side, Little Big Sound provided a small cable holder, which is built into the design for compact reasons. Just to make up for that small cable .. You could actually ..
Plug in the included cable! For the record, The speakers provided an input jack and audio cable, to connect to other devices. The device also includes a USB charging cable, which is a little dissapointing that they are not following the more widely used MiniUSB port, but rather a older power adapter port. The device runs at 5V DC.
On the design aspect (I kept it last as its the most juicy bit, and most of you guys might have seen it around anyway), the product would really catch many eyeballs rolling towards it. The lights on the speakers will constantly glow to different colors in a fading pattern and it looks really appealing in the night. Like a simple mini disco, the product really reflects itself as a bright apple. The rubberized design is interesting, but I fear that the color might change over time. However, another point which I failed to see (until my friend seen it), the rubberized design actually strengthen the ruggedness of the product, making it easy for outdoor music entertainment. Scratches would also not be as visible when compared to a plastic shell.
In the nutshell, the device offers good mids and really good lows . I really have to comment about how strong the bass was when I blasted my pop music ( I used Like A G6 by Far East Movement), the whole device was shaking and vibrating (Picture above). However, when the volume is turned up to it’s maximum, slight distortion can be heard, (The highs of the device is pretty poor, but hey, what do you expect for such a miniature device) but the color changes and the strong bass of the device will make it up for that.

Hi, I just bought this speaker and I would like to ask whether is there any indication when the battery is charging?
Yes, you are right. I don’t think there are any charging indicators, I can help you ask Action City?
I contacted Action City about this and their rep said that they do not have a indicator on the device, but if you were to charge it for 2 hours, it could probably last for more than a day. Recommend charge should be around 3 hours.

Do we need to turn it on when we charge the battery?!
I bought the apple speaker yesterday. I don’t really know how to charge it. I mean, they got provide one cable for charging. But what I want to know is that, do I need to turn on the apple speaker to charge it? And also, after charging, will they give some sort of a signal to tell me that it is fully charge? Please reply ASAP.
There’s no charging indicator.
The recommended charge time for the product is 3 hours.
Just plug it in and turn on your computer and leave it there.
That’s just a flaw in the product.

i lost my charger! is there any way to get new charger?

You can find a multi-voltage adapter to do it,

Get it from Home fix or your local hardware store.
And the voltage rating is beside the charging port of the speaker.

I bought a pair of the Little Big Sound Apple speakers in Action City while I and my family were spending our vacation in Singapore.
The speakers are not designed to deliver stereo sound even when to speakers are connected, and the source sound is stereo. The sound of left and right channel are mixed and delivered to the same speaker. Connecting two speakers just make the sound louder.
The output port also acts as an input port, speakers can be connected with the supplied cable from the port marked with a headphone icon of one speaker to the same port of other speaker.
Hi there, I jz bought the speaker 2 days ago, and the battery were out, after recharged it, I found that the light from the speaker is gone, no lighting when i turn on the spearker. Is that any indication during charging, or way of turning on the light?

How long does the battery last?
The battery could last quite well. In really heavy usage, about a day?
Just remember to switch off the speakers when you are done with it, if not you will drain the batteries.

I just brought the apple mini speaker at action city today but seems like i am having problems. Usb cable unable to work out and play music when i plug to laptop and hand phone plus the charging red light is off after charging for 2hrs plus. Should i get it changed?Can anyone help?Thanks.

my partner got me one and i’m enjoying it! charging it now for the first time and although it’s turned off, a red light comes on. i hope the light changes to another color when it’s fully charged. mine didn’t come with a keychain, by the way but with a small black pouch. neat. =)
is there a way to turn off the lights when playing in order to save battery life?? I know I can squeeze it to turn off the lights but the bass performance decreases when used in squeezed form!

This speaker is nice, but the only irritating thing is that the speaker tends to literally jump or vibrate off the table at high volume.

I have a pair of Little Big Sound bought in march 2011 in Singapore.
The unregulated charging of Li ion battery can hazardous, the Li ion battery may catch fire or explode if over charged.
Google internet one may find there are other similar products with regulated power circuit.
How do you change the top to a different colour?
I bought one…with the MP3 player. Two weeks later, that stupid ‘mute’ button got pushed in while transporting them and that’s it…no sound, and the button won’t pop back out. Done. Boooo! Poor design!
