Top 5 things you need to know about Apple new products and pricing today!
(All Prices in SGD)
Well, today Apple had major big changes to the pricing for their products, I think the company has also been hit by recession.
But before that, the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, which has been not feeling so well for the past few months has finally returned to Apple as the CEO.
So now, everything is back to business.
1) A New iPod Nano – 5th Generation
I know, you will go like wa right?
Yes, there is a brand new iPod Nano.

Do you notice something different?

As you may know, new products will cost more right?
Wrong! In fact, they reduced the price. I will walk step by step with you and explain to you the different features in the new iPod Nano.
- Video

The most noticeable feature in the new series of iPod Nano, is this Video Camera.
The bad thing is, it cant take photos. When it took video, the resolution is 640×480 standard definition video at 30 frames per second, MP4 format and AAC Audio (For the geeks) Which is somehow decent, like a phone camera. This kind of video quality is totally not on par, if you are going to compare to a video cam. This could be only the YouTube kind of quality you are getting.
- FM Radio

Something which Creative had for 200 years is now in your iPod Nano! Yup, its radio! RADIO, a technology back in the 80s. Is coming to your NEW iPod in the 21st century today!
- VoiceOver

Ha! The new VoiceOver tech is now in your new Nano. Which basically means that your Nano is able to ‘talk’ to you and tell you what song you are listening, but as usual the voice sounds like a robot and yeah. Technology existed since the start of 2000. But good implementation though.
- Pedometer

This is something I am waiting for. This iPod will actually count how many steps you walk using a hardware called accelerometer inside your Nano. It will also calculate how many calories I burned. Good stuff! Pebble, mind buying me one?
- Genius

It will analyze what songs blends with another and such. Well, this is actually an old feature.
Alright, so thats all for the new iPod’s.

3) iPod Touch
Same changed to the iPod Touch as well, cheaper price.

4) iPod Shuffle
Even lower price for the iPod Shuffle. No changes to design or memory.

5) Other Small Changes
Some small updates has also been mentioned, the new iPhone / iPod Touch 3.1 firmware is out, so do update it. iTunes 9 for both Windows and Mac has also been released.
