Boxee for Windows – ALPHA

I’ve received an invitaion to test out a software which is widely used on the Apple TV’s firmware.
Boxee is quite similar to Windows Media Centre.

After getting the invitation, I went to get the file, its 42.8mb!

After letting the setup run, I entered my username and password and went into the login system.

After I was logged in, I am greeted with a nice interface, it tells me what my friends is watching and it recommends me videos to watch.

On top of that, I can tune into Internet Videos:

With Boxee you can stream your local network movies, songs and videos.
On top of that, you can stream songs from last.fm, Pandora or other music streaming services.
Overall, the experience is perfect but its abit buggy and slow since its still in Alpha.

  1. Boxee works great. Have you tried installing it on an AppleTV? I have mine setup on it, and it really is just an amazing application.
