As you might know, I am not a very good cook. I’ve tried frying eggs, and it sticked to the pan, for I don’t know what reason, but my mum said that it is too solid, solid until the egg stuck there.
In this 21st century, I have to pick up at least some minimal basic cooking skills. At least you are able to cook yourself something when all the shops are closed, right? Maggi Mee is not included on the list.
Bought some fish and chicken nuggets at NTUC, The chicken nuggets can be cooked using an Oven, but the Fish nugget is not possible, so I had to fry it.
To give it some testing, I will put 1 fish nugget into the pot and give it a try.
I didn’t really know that pot cant be used for frying until I called my friend which said :
‘ Pot only for soup la ! No frying ! ‘
On top of that, I added water on top of the oil, after that I manage to see some fireworks of oil in action (below) . And I received another message:
‘ Oil cant mix with water ! ‘
My pathetic pot became black .
Since I cant find a Pan, I decided to use a big wok.
So I added oil on it. My friend which happens to be on the line said that :
‘ Put your hand on top of the oil and feel the heat, to see whether the oil is hot anot ‘
And this was what I heard during the state of panic:
‘ Put your hand into the oil and see whether it is hot anot ! ‘
So, I just put it in and I managed to get a red spot on my hand! Damn it !

I put in the fish nuggets into the wok and I left it there for 5 mins, because the instructions said , cook for 5 mins. Guess what ?
I forgot to flip over the nuggets while frying.
So some of it became black.
To master this skill of frying, I will practice more and come out with better and new dishes.
