This is a reminder that you are reading a old post, if you want to read the freshest content on this blog, please click here
We have great response for the RV Photos downloads! If you want to download, please contact your friends to forward you the email that I sent or contact me via MSN over here!
There are a total of 72 80!! downloads for all 3 files! Fantastic! The message went so far!
Before I start this blog post, I wish to write something really off-topic.
When someone tells you something, you have a umbrella to block what you hear, Some people just tells you stuff to get to you closer. Dont you feel that you’re used?
Let me give you a simple senerio. I make out with Girl A and Girl B.
At first I go with Girl A, later, Girl B came, so I go with both Girl A and Girl B, after that my attention is focused with Girl B.
Probably Girl B is prettier, So I neglect Girl A.
While Im enjoying, Girl A is there suffering. But Obviously, I am not going to break with Girl A, what if Girl B fails ( and the relationship turns sour and dont go well? )
So Girl A is like a backup for the guy.
You get what situation you are in?
Dont just follow your heart, use your head too.
Think about it and give me a ping once you read this.

Today was a very fruitful event, It was River Valley’s Service Learning workshop for Sec 3’s and Sec 4’s Student Leaders. So today there was 37 students + 1 Teacher.
Our main aim for this Service Learning Workshop is to inspire the youth to serve the community and to equip the skills to practise Service Learning.
This is how the day goes today..

Woke up as early as 5.30am to greet the morning sun. I was out of my house around 6am, I walked somewhere close to Swiss Cottage Secondary School to wait for the Taxi that Dave has prepared for us.

On the taxi, heading to Trybe Centre.

We started to prepare the area for the student from River Valley.
After getting all the equipment, chairs and tables started and kicking. We shall take some photos!

Facilitators Include: Leovine, Basia and Kevin ( Mirabel and Jamie too )

The Logistics Team Include: JieHan , Jeremy (Me) and Dave.
After some photos, we will get some prata from the nearby food store, a 20 second walk away from the Prata store.

6 Eggs, and 6 Kro-song Prata!
20 minutes later, RV students start coming in and making their sits.

This way to Trybe Centre!

Welcome to River Valley Service Learning Workshop!
( Do note that some of the orange nametags might be wrong (: )

After the briefing, its time to get to work!
So the students will start planning for the event later at All Saints Home!

During the planning, we took random photos of the students at work.

You must call her ‘ Laoda ‘ at work. If not, she will unlesh her POWERS. LOL.

You are saboed as Group Leader. LOL.

Leader!

Some needed more space to work on, like cutting and shaping models of animals. So I big workspace is given to the students to work on what the elderly likes.

Resources is passed on to them as well:

Walking their way into All Saints Home for Planning and Briefing

After the briefing has been done by the All Saint’s Home Staff, we students began working on their individual projects. ( Thanks to Dave for the photography! )
Society need people like these students, which are willing to share, give and learn.
Their actions portray good values and hopefully, this will inspire you to visit a Old Folks Home Soon.

While Dave is snapping photographs, JieHan and Me was at Trybe’s Office preparing RV Students with Beverages and Food for their afternoon tea!
We called the McDelivery to order a total of 75 burgers for all the Students, Facilitators, Logisitics and Staffs to eat.

After having a few gulps of 100 plus and having a big bite at the burgers.

They enjoy the food twice of what we do. LOL.
They even do cheers before they start eating.
its time to get started for the interview with one of the board director’s at Trybe. Rachel!

After that, we took a simple group photo.

HIP HIP HOORAY! FOR RVHS AND TRYBE!
After the whole service learning trip, we held a de-brief and tata!

Some photos outside the Trybe Office:

Sending Off!
Bye!

After the whole River Valley event is over, we packed up the place, cleared the stuff that we used.
And there were smiles for the event..

That was Glenda and Jasmine!
After the smiles, its time to get serious for the debrief!

Soon after, Raffy came back from his event and he joined us. Dave and him was trying to play the yo-yo!

After that, I took some noodles from Trybe’s Centre nearby Hawker Centre and left the area.
We left Trybe at around 9pm, reached home around 10.30pm ( Including a MRT ride from Tampinies and a feeder bus )
This experience is very fulfilling
Jeremy
