” Hey! That is Mac OS X Leopard Desktop Background! “

Yup, it is.. Cool Right?

Nothing to do lor, so took time to play with this. Yeah, I know, my laptop is down at the moment. I want to get a new Hard-Drive. Something inside fails, so I went to change.

Believe it or not, the above photo is edited using the Microsoft Windows XP - ” Paint ” Program.

I miss my Windows Vista, although sometimes you lag and Windows Explorer hang, but I cant leave you.

Please, this is not another SCANDAL!

Plans Changed : Surprising!

by jeremy89632 on Oct.11, 2008, under LifeBlog

Shocked!

Recently Got in touch with the company which hosted my website and CTPod’s.

And I saw a change in their plans, (Luckily I signed up earlier)

KEY:

Hosting means the space allocated for you by the server

Domain means the websites, you have to pay to get a (whatever).com website.

This is their NEW PLANS. - CMI

For just 50 dollars for 3 months (Hosting) and on top of that $28 for a year (Domains) they provide:

  • 8 MySQL Databases = 100MB Limit for SQL’s  - Run softwares which requires a database, Eg: Blogger
  • Live Chat / Email / Phone Support = 24/7 - In case your website goes down, a call away.
  • Fantastico - Install Scripts and Software on your server.
  • PHP 5 support - Support PHP Scripts
  • Perl, Python, Javascript, Cron Jobs, Front Page, GD , Image Magick - A variety of scripts supported
  • 4GB Disk Space (Hard drive) - Space to put your files, softwares, videos, pictures..
  • 40 GB Bandwidth - Rate of Internet Transfer
  • 99.9% Uptime - Measure of the time a computer system has been “up” and running
  • Daily Backup - Keep another set of files, in case the system goes down.
  • No Contract - No strings attached.
  • 30-day Money Back Guarantee - If you are unhappy with their service
  • Host 4 Different Websites on an account -Run 4 websites with one Username and Password and one Server
  • 20 Parked Domains - Buy other websites and trademark it.
  • 15 Emails Accounts Limit - Only can create 15 emails account. Eg: (Example@example.com)
  • 10 Mailing Lists - A place to distribute news.
    • Unlimited FTP Accounts - Accounts to upload files
    • Unlimited Subdomains - Subdomains is like Eg: (something).example.com

This is very very little, especially bandwidth, HabboSoup less than a month already exceed 40Gb of bandwidth already.

This is the company’s old plan, which I’m using it to power up CTPod and This blog.

The Old Plan - What Im using.

For $48 dollars (Hosting) for 3 months on top of that 28 dollars for a year (Domains) they provide:

  • 20 MySQL Databases = No Limit for SQL’s - Run softwares which requires a database, Eg: Blogger
  • Live Chat / Phone / Email Support = 24/7 Support - In case your website goes down, a call away.
  • Fantastico - Install Scripts and Software on your server.
  • Php 5 support - Support PHP Scripts
  • Perl, Python, Javascript, Cron Jobs, Front Page, GD , Image Magick - A variety of scripts supported
  • 7GB Disk Space - Space to put your files, softwares, blog post, pictures, videos..
  • 75 GB Bandwidth - Rate of Internet Transfer
  • 99.9% Uptime - Measure of the time a computer system has been “up” and running
  • Daily Backup - Keep another set of files, in case the system goes down.
  • No Contract - No strings attached.
  • 30-day Money Back Guarantee - If you are unhappy with their service
  • Host 5 Different Websites on one account - Run 5 websites with one Username and Password and one Server
  • 20 Parked Domains - Buy other websites and trademark it.
  • 50 Emails Accounts Limit - Only can create 15 emails account. Eg: (Example@example.com)
  • 10 Mailing Lists - A place to distribute news.
  • Unlimited FTP Accounts - Accounts to upload files
  • Unlimited Subdomains - Subdomains is like Eg: (something).example.com

So, as you can see, the difference is quite big. Luckily, I registered for the old plan before the new one came out. I used to use SOUP-Hosting last time, as you know, but they have quite frequent downtimes, thats why I moved out.

Jeremy.
